![]() I bought a Genesis 2 with Sonic 2 system in 1993 (and a Genesis Nomad portable in 1996). Sega Genesis: Probably my favorite console or at least top 3. The SNES and Genesis versions, sadly, do not have that song (so basically have 0 redeeming qualities). That particular song is also in the Game Gear port, but Spittalfield is the 3rd level in that version. Honorable Mention: Cutthroat Island is a pretty terrible game, but the song for the second stage, Spittalfield, is one of the best pirate-ish song on any game of the era. It was the standard control deck set without the zapper/mario/duck-hunt or the ROB robot but with just Super Mario Bros. NES: Got the good ole Nintendo in '87 as a birthday gift. I recall enjoying these 3, but we got rid of the 5200 when I got an NES. Also, Dodge’Em and Haunted House.Ītari 5200: Dad bought this from someone he worked with in the early-mid 80s.įavorites: Only ever had Pac-Man (blew the socks off the 2600 version), Centipede, and Super Breakout. I received as a gift much later on from my grandparents.įavorites: The ports of Ms. I played a ton as a kid, and he still keeps it maintained now, and I sometimes play when visiting.Ītari VCS/2600: I have a 6-switch woodgrain model (originally my mom’s, gave it to me a few years back: unworking, fire/water damage) and an Atari 2600 Jr. Phoenix: (arcade, cocktail cabinet): Dad bought this from in the early 80s from restuarant he used to play it at.
